November 2017 Book of the Month

Wow, can you believe it’s already November? This semester seemed to fly by, and now, finals season is right around the corner. Since this time of year can get quite overwhelming, this month’s book is a fun and enjoyable read to take some of the stress out of studying for finals and applying to internships.

In Odd Jobs, photo essayist Nancy Rica Schiff introduces her readers to over 60 unusual jobs such as porta-potty serviceman, dog food eater, and oak leaf scrubber, providing a brief summary and portrait for each. This book proves that people will do just about anything to earn a quick buck. More importantly, this book highlights to us all that there is a job out there for everyone, no matter how weird they may seem.
