“Tell me about yourself”

Hi! My name is Marie Cajoux and I am a Human Biology, Health, and Society major. I was born and raised in NYC, but I’ve lived in NJ for a good amount of time now to consider myself a New Jerseyan. This is my first semester working with the Career Exploration Center and I’m very excited to start supporting students with their professional career interests.

Where do you see yourself in the future?

As a service-oriented person, I see myself volunteering in free health clinics in the future. I am passionate about making healthcare accessible and affordable for all. I plan on having my own practice whether that be in medicine or dentistry while making sure that I am able to provide for all of my patient’s needs. This past summer I’ve been working at a doctor’s office and I can’t wait to be able to provide the kind of care that I witnessed.

What are you involved in on campus?

On campus, I am part of two dance teams – Phenomenon Step Team and African Dance Repertoire (ADR). I am also part of Alpha Phi Omega, an amazing service fraternity. Lastly, I am the Treasurer for the Association for Students of Color in Human Ecology.

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time, I love to watch reality tv, bake new recipes, dance, and hang out with friends and family.
