Coming from Orlando, Florida, Sammie is a senior majoring in Public Policy with a minor in International Relations. Her preferred pronouns are she/her/hers.

I am a fourth-year Public Policy student eager to learn more about the realm of public policy. I grew up in a melting pot of culture and have enjoyed expanding on that love of community here at Cornell. Living in Orlando, Florida I am a theme park enthusiast and lover of the beach.
Where do you see yourself in the future?
After entering into the realm of law, I hope to be able to work for a domestic or international organization where I can work on foreign policy and international affairs. I would love to travel the world and learn from varying cultures!
What are you involved in on campus?
I am in the Brazilian Student Association, volunteer for UpwardBound, and Student Ambassador for my school.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I enjoy reading historical biographies, watching romantic comedies, jamming out to music while driving, and playing guitar.
