“Tell me about yourself.”

Hello! I’m Theresa a Sophomore majoring in Human, Biology, Health, and Society with a minor in Business! I would love to talk to you about exploring the intersections between business and healthcare while keeping the pre-med trek open 🙂 Come in anytime we are open and let’s chat!

Where do you see yourself in the future?

In the future, I am still divided between two careers… I aspire to either enter medical school and become a physician. Or, I hope to work with the healthcare field in a broader perspective, improving sanitation promotion in underdeveloped countries and mitigating health disparities through either healthcare consulting or healthcare administration! This last summer I worked as a Data Analyst at Blue Cross Blue Shield in Value-Based Contracting, implementing a program to improve the cost-effectiveness of physician organizations across Michigan.

What are you involved in on campus?

On campus, I am involved in Cornell’s Undergraduate Research Board and PATCH alongside CSA (Chinese Student Association) and AAIV (Asian-American intervarsity)! Apart from that I am Chief Communications Officer for International Business Consulting and VP of New Member Ed for Vision Brand Consulting. Finally, I am in the Hollopeter Lab conducting cell biology research. 🙂

What do you like to do in your free time?

In my free time, I love love love exploring coffee shops (it’s where all my money goes towards…), listening to music, and watching sitcoms.
